Patsy Ann Richardson Pearce passed away quietly on Sunday 7 December 2025 at Sacred Heart Hospital in
Spokane, Washington.
Patsy was born the first child of Homer C. "Pat" Richardson and Althea B. McMahan Richardson in Spokane on 1 October 1935.
Patsy was a kind and gentle soul whose life revolved around her family and her Church. She graduated from West Valley High School where she was a member of the band. She met Rulon Eugene Pearce Jr in Spokane. Rulon was in the Air Force and was stationed there. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple 10 June 1954 and moved to
Salt Lake City, UT. Rulon worked for the Bell Telephone company and later the FAA. Her children were born in Salt Lake City. Darwin E. Pearce, Ronald C. Pearce, Nadean A. Pearce, Sandra L. Pearce Tong Brinkman, and Jeffrey N. Pearce. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Patsy and Gene went on four missions. The first was to the Bristol England Mission, second to New Hampshire, third to Dallas, Texas Temple and the fourth was to the Los Angeles Family History.
She had many stories of their time in Wales living in a rock house with damp walls. Staying warm was a challenge but many friends were made on this mission.
They moved back to Spokane from
Bethany, OK in 2001. She was so very happy to come home to family. She will be remembered as a storyteller and an excellent pie maker. She had many health issues (3 open heart surgeries) and lived to 90 years only because she was so disciplined about her diet and drug regime. She was married for 61 years.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband Rulon Eugene Pearce 14 December 2015, parents "Pat" and Althea Richardson, middle sister Nona Lowell, daughter Nadean Pearce, daughter Sandra Pearce Tong Brinkman, and son Ronald Pearce.
