Patti M Orders

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patti Evelyn McGhee Orders of Lewis Center, Ohio. Patti, age 73 passed away peacefully during the early hours of December 31, 2025 at Kobacker House following a stroke. Patti was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and dear friend to all who knew her.

Patti was born on January 30, 1952 to loving parents Denver Arthur McGhee and Dorothy Lorraine Collins McGhee in Columbus, Ohio. She was a 1970 graduate of Olentangy High School before earning her BS in Education from Otterbein College in 1974, where she was a Kappa Phi Omega. On August 26, 1978 Patti married Frank shortly before becoming a Management Analyst for the City of Columbus Police Department where she would dedicate 33 years of service as a working mother, dance mom, and military mom before retiring in 2012.

Patti is survived by her husband Frank Orders, her son Joseph (Patricia) and grandchildren Audra, Joanna, and Zachary. Also, by her daughter Rian (Daniel) Snyder and granddaughter Dylan, her daughter Stephanie, her bonus daughters Angi and Aimee, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Additionally, Patti is survived by her eldest sister Bonnie McGhee Domon, her son Nobu and grandchildren and by her older sister Shannon (Tom) Weakland, their children Jenna, Nathan (Kathryn), Deanna, Christopher (Victoria) and Edmund (Leah), grandchildren, and great-grandchild.

The social butterfly of any gathering and a woman of faith, Patti never knew a stranger and could always be counted on to lend a hand, to listen, to offer sound advice or just a much-needed hug. These qualities and so many more will be dearly missed. A memorial to celebrate her life and honor her memory will be held on January 10, 2026 at Saint Andrew Christian Church (1985 Swansford Drive, Dublin 43016) where family and friends will welcome visitors from 1-2 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Kobacker House, Saint Andrew Christian Church, or any of the many charities Patti supported is a beautiful way to honor her memory.
