Patty Arlene Bricker, age 92, of Albia, IA, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia.

Patty was born on July 11, 1933, in Albia to Lyle Alvin and Tina Marie (Reeves) Rogers. She grew up attending school in Albia. On July 16, 1954, she was united in marriage to Francis Bricker Sr. in Unionville, MO, and to this union, 4 children were born: Mitchell, Francis Jr., Ricky, and Vicky. Patty and Francis were blessed with 71 years of marriage prior to her passing.

Patty was a homemaker, staying home to raise her children. She later went to work at Smith Laundry in Albia.

Patty was a member of the First Christian Church in Albia. She enjoyed being outdoors-especially fishing, camping, and watching the parasailers at Lake Rathbun with Francis. They loved to travel and treasured their winters spent in warmer places. Patty was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She rarely missed her children's events and took great joy in celebrating her children's and grandchildren's accomplishments. She was a wonderful baker, well known for her strawberry shortcakes, pies, buns, and homemade bread. In her free time, she enjoyed reading books and collecting antique water pitchers. Above all else, Patty loved her family and cherished the time spent with them.

Patty is survived by her beloved husband, Francis Sr.; 4 children, Mitch Bricker, Francis Bricker Jr., Rick (Lorraine) Bricker, and Vicky Bricker; 9 grandchildren, Alicia (Dan) McCain, Travis (Samantha) Bricker, Ben (Cassi) Bricker, Tom (Whitney) Bricker, Joshua (Kaylee Bruns) Bricker, Jeremy (Tabatha) Bricker, Joe (Kim) Bricker, Terry (Kari) Bricker, and Erica Bricker; 11 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Patty is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Tina Rogers; 3 sisters, Rose (Lawrence) Morgan, Norma (Jack) Mitchell, and Vera Rogers; her parents-in-law, George and Jessie Bricker; 3 brothers-in-law, George Bricker, Richard (Louise) Bricker, and John Bricker; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are pending and will be announced in the near future.
