Paul Ackerman, a beloved husband and father, passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 64. He was well known for his quick wit and generous heart to all who had contact with him. He was born in Derry, New Hampshire September 7, 1961. He will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend, Jean HerendeenAckerman, and their two children, Jennifer and David, who were the light of his heart and soul. Paul was a graduate of OSU with a degree in computer science and of Franklin University with an MBA. He was currently employed at Nationwide Insurance, where he shared his wit and computer skills with all his colleagues. Paul also worked for Owens Corning in Granville, Red Roof Inns' offices in Dublin, and was a subcontractor in computer science before his current employment. He had a great love of politics and believed one's involvement could change things for the better. This was only matched by his passion for OSU football, Star Trek, and history.
Paul is survived by his wife Jean and their two children, Jennifer and David. He is also survived by his niece, Alisha; nephew, Michael; and dear friends, David H., Lloyd, and Chip. Paul has now joined his departed parents, Frank and Doris Ackerman, and his siblings, especially Peter.
