Robert Harris, born on September 8, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026. He was a dedicated family man whose love for his family and friends defined his life.
Robert had a successful career as a Data Processor for AEP, where he worked for many years before retiring in 2010. His commitment to his work was matched only by his dedication to his family.
A proud graduate of Dublin High School, Robert went on to earn his Associate's degree from Franklin University, reflecting his passion for learning and growth throughout his life. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he was a member of Dueber Church, which was a significant part of his community life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Patricia Harris; son, Donald Harris; daughter, Jill Harris; step-daughters, Pam Rentz (Lance Holman) and Amy (Phillip) Hochstetler; step-son, David (Maribel) Fehn. Robert is also survived by his brothers, David (Ellen) Harris and Craig (Tanya) Harris. Robert cherished his role as a grandfather, and is remembered fondly by his granddaughter, Kristina Harris; granddaughter, Angeline Harris; grandson, Pablo Lazu; grandson, Isaac Fehn; granddaughter, Macy Renee Domer; grandson, Abel Fehn; grandson, Zachary Holman; granddaughter, Mandi Hochstetler; and granddaughter, Maggie Hochstetler. In addition he is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Harris, and his father, Robert Harris.
His memory will live on through the love he shared and the lives he touched. Robert Harris will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Robert’s life will be honored at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon, Ohio. Visitation will take place on January 20, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM. A Graveside Service will occur later that day at Sunset Hills Memory Garden.
