Paul Gene Anderson, age 71, of Aubrey, TX passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023 in Aubrey, TX. He was born on June 23, 1951, in Atlanta, GA to Leif Paul and Marion (Jackson) Anderson.
Paul was a 1969 graduate of Russell High School in East Point, GA. He loved being outdoors, enjoying all the sights and sounds of nature. To capture every memorable moment, Paul always carried his camera by his side. Sharing his love of art through his photographs, drawings, and paintings was something he enjoyed. He was an avid reader of all types of books, and he loved and listened to all types of music, especially music that was created by his three sons. His favorite song was "Somewhere" by Barbara Streisand. Paul loved riding his Harley Davidson Sportster on sunny days in the spring and fall. He loved discussing politics, science, history, and religion. Paul enjoyed helping others and loved his friends and family very much. His favorite quote from Shakespeare's Hamlet was "There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." Paul believed that "Life is to be celebrated."
Paul is survived by three sons, Ian Christopher Anderson of Nashville, TN, Matthew Lyle Anderson and wife Jenni of Aubrey, TX, and Leighton Thomas Anderson of Indian Trail, NC; seven grandchildren, Caleb, Ryan, Timothy, Jacob, Ashlynn, Blake, and Benjamin Anderson; one great-grandchild, Cohen Anderson; two brothers, David Lyle Anderson and wife Bobbie of Murfreesboro, TN and Kevin Anderson of San Antonio, TX; one sister, Danise Manning of Pensacola, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leif and Marion; and one sister, Nina Anderson.
