Paul D. Augustine, age 84, of Jackson Township, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.

Born August 24, 1941, in Canton, he was the son of the late Paul and Amelia (Novak) Augustine. Paul was a 1959 graduate of Timken High School.

In 1957, while working at the Arcade Market in downtown Canton-Paul as a bus boy and Carolyn as a waitress-he met the love of his life, Carolyn Goodwill. They were married on October 7, 1959, in Cumberland, Maryland, and shared 60 wonderful years together, raising their family and building countless memories.

Paul was actively involved in coaching and supporting his children's activities, and especially loved watching his daughter play volleyball. He enjoyed racquetball and golf throughout his life. Above all, Paul and Carolyn treasured time with their grandchildren-attending their events, celebrating their achievements, and taking them on special trips, creating memories that will be cherished by the entire family.

He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, the Jackson Boosters, Seniors Golf Association (where he served as secretary), and the Jackson Lions Club. Paul worked for many years in the printing industry, primarily at Danner Press.

Paul is survived by his sons Greg (Susan) Augustine and Jeff (Constance) Augustine; daughter Heather (Tony Maddox) Augustine; sister Theresa (Richard) Rohr; brothers Ronald Augustine and Alex Augustine; ten grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one eagerly anticipated great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn (Goodwill) Augustine; infant son, Paul; and brother, Michael Augustine.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Paul will be laid to rest at North Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aultman Hospice.

To the Augustine Family, I want to offer my deepest sympathy for Paul's passing. I worked with Paul many years and he was a terrific person and always a true professional and kind person. I was glad to have him as a colleague and a friend. We had great times with our Myrtle Beach golf trips.
