Charles "Charlie" Debro

Charles "Charlie" Debro, age 81, of Uniontown, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Aviva Hills Assisted Living.
He was born August 18, 1944, in Lodi, Ohio and was a lifelong resident of Uniontown, Ohio.
Charlie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was married to his wife, Diana L. (Barress) Debro, for 60 years. He is survived by his wife, Diana; his son, Chuck (Jennifer) Debro; his daughter, Renee (Mike) Rojas; his sister, Patricia Carpenter; and his beloved grandchildren, Brianna Debro, Nathan Rojas, Forrest Rojas, Jason Rojas, and Grant Rojas.
Charlie retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after a distinguished 44-year career. He was a master tire builder and trainer. This earned him the honor of being selected to start the NASCAR Mid-Ohio race, as his racing tires were highly sought after and trusted by drivers. During his tenure, he also served as a Union Representative for 20 consecutive years.
He enjoyed deer hunting, watching NASCAR and boxing, and he was a member of the McKinley Hunting Club and the Goodyear Retiree Lunch Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley A. Debro and Miriam Debro, and his brothers, Stanley Debro, Jr. and Edward Debro.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 19, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Heitger Funeral Home – Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. NW, with calling hours on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in North Canton.
