Paul Alan Bandy, 70, went to his Heavenly home early New Year's Eve, December 31, 2024, at his residence. He was born on January 10, 1954, in Anderson, the son of Frank and Lois Mae (Parker) Bandy, Sr.
Paul graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1971. He worked as a forklift driver for General Motors in Anderson and eventually finished his career at the General Motors Plant in Marion. He enjoyed fishing and hunting whenever possible. Mr. Bandy was a member of the United Auto Workers Union and was known to be very social, always creating memories wherever possible with all he met. Mostly, Paul treasured the times he could spend with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Brooke (Troy) Bandy-Obert; nine grandchildren, Nathaniel (Breanna) Hackensmith, Zachery Hackensmith, Andrea Roths, Sara Gomez, Kaylee (Nathan) Pratt, Evan (Taylour) Obert, Nate Obert, McKenna Obert, and Sophia Obert; nine great-grandchildren, Cecelia, Finley, Alexandra, Riley, Elizabeth Brooke, Elijah, Alora, Philippe and Violet Mae; sister-in-law, Teresa Bandy; nephew, Shane Bandy, great-nephew, Tyler Bandy; dearest friend and former spouse, Debra Spencer and her husband Jeff.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank Bandy, Jr.; grandmother, Mahnie Parker; great aunt, Glenda Ross; grandson, Joseph Obert; and his constant companion and friend, his pet Shih Tzu, Ricky.
Cremation has been chosen, with a private family gathering at a later date. Loose Funeral Home and Crematory are entrusted with these arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, the American Lung Association, or the Animal Protection League.
