Paul David Buie, 55, of Fair Grove, MO went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 5, 2024. He was born December 5, 1968, to David and Norma Buie in St. Louis, MO.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, David; Infant brother; and grandson, Zerek.
Paul is survived by his mother; wife, Susann Buie; children, Asher Peak, Seth Buie and wife Shannon, Luke Buie and wife Maddie, Anna Buie, Jeremiah Buie and wife Sarah; grandchildren, Amara Peak, Alea Peak, Sadie Buie, Akaius Moore, Coal Buie; Sibling, Dana Snow and husband Oscar; Along with beloved nieces and nephews.
Growing up in Wentzville, MO Paul enjoyed a multitude of outdoor activities, hunting, fishing, exploring, hiking, 4-wheeling and camping which were things he enjoyed throughout his entire life, sharing with his wife and children.
Paul married Susann, the love of his life, on August 4, 1990, with whom he shared 34 years of life. He loved Susann intensely and was deeply devoted to her.
Paul was profoundly committed to the Lord, continually seeking understanding and a deeper relationship. God's Word was treasured by him.
Paul savored spending his time in nature; camping with his children when they were young, and then with Susann in the later years. On a weekend Paul was feeling well, you would find him and Susann deep in the woods somewhere, immersed in nature, thrilled by God's creations. Paul was a jack of all trades, figuring out any and everything he set his mind to. He had an uncanny ability to use excessive amounts of
screws in construction projects, truly impressive to those witnessing.
Paul obtained his bachelor's degree from Southwest Baptist University in psychology and sociology. However, he made his career as a self-taught Information Technology Professional and was greatly valued by the customers he served for 20+ years. Paul enjoyed connecting with his children through video games. There would often be a multi-player game going on in which all the children and he would passionately defeat a video game boss.
Anyone who had many conversations with Paul would hear of the conspiracy theories he loved to explain in depth. Don't start up a conversation and expect a quick ending. Paul taught people patience in many ways, often, in how slowly he told a tale. In good spirits, he was always making people laugh, with his quick wit and dry humor. His family's fondest memories include laughing around a table or campfire from something he had said or done.
Paul was a man of deep emotion and thoughts, who will be remembered and loved by all those in his life. His family is thankful that he has found peace and is pain free at last.
Visitation will begin at 2:30pm, with service starting at 3:30pm on Sunday, August 11th, 2024, at Riverstone Fellowship Church, located at 2129 N Bristol Ln Nixa, MO 65714. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
