Paul Y. Couture, age 83, of Shiloh, passed away at 1:51 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2025 at Memorial East Hospital in Shiloh.

He was born September 5, 1941 in Gardner, MA, the son of the late Edmund and Genevieve (Labossiere) Couture.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Carol (Haapaoja) Couture, and two children: Steven (Jennifer) Couture of Fairview Heights, IL and Scott R. Couture of North Hampton, MA; seven grandchildren: Christopher (Youjung) Couture, Ashley Couture, Meagan (Theo) Couture, Stuart Couture, Catherine Couture, Adam Couture and Aimee Couture; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Anita Marie Couture; and two brothers: Alfred Couture and Fernand Couture.

Paul proudly served in the military and was a mason by trade, well known for the quality of his work. He loved the outdoors, birdwatching and especially fishing; but most important to him was time spent with family. Always quick with a joke and a smile, he brought many years of love and laughter to those around him. In his later years, any visit from family was the highlight of his day. His kind heart, warm smile and caring nature will be missed.

According to his wishes, he will be interred at the Veterans' Memorial Cemtery in Winchendon, MA. The graveside service, with military honors will be at 1 p.m. October 10, 2025.
