Paul Joseph Cugini, age 70, of Medina, Ohio, passed away on September 12, 2024. He was born on August 31, 1954, in Buffalo, New York.
He served his country proudly in the US Army during the Vietnam War Era. Paul was a long-distance logistics specialist, owning and operating PJC Trucking before retiring.
For Paul, family was his number one, especially his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors and could be found bicycling, boating, and traveling with his wife Deborah. They especially enjoyed camping and cruises together. With his wife, he spent winters in Florida, where he volunteered often, enjoyed the game cornhole and was affectionately known as "the dog roller."
Paul is survived by his wife of 49 years, Deborah J. Cugini; his children, Paul Joseph Cugini, Jr. (Stephanie), Anthony David Cugini (Jillian), and Joseph Christopher Cugini (Lindsey); his grandchildren, Michaela (Logan), Elianna, Anthony David, Jr., Cade, Aalie, Easton, and Collin; his father, Joseph Cugini; his siblings, Angela Cugini and Tom Ruggiero; and many loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Cugini.
Family will receive friends on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256 with a time of family sharing at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 1800 Station Rd., Valley City, OH 44280. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
