Paul A. DeCesare

Paul A. DeCesare of Providence passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. He was 84 years old.
Born and raised in Providence he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary Jane (Bedard) DeCesare. Paul attended LaSalle Academy and soon after he graduated, he met the love of his life, Bianca, in the sporting goods section of Sears& Roebuck. Paul & Bianca dated, got married and went on to have 3 children. They moved from Providence to West Warwick when the children were small. They later decided to move to the suburbs in 1978 where they raised their family in Mapleville and enjoyed their time at their summer home on Spring Lake. They returned to Providence after the children were grown.
Early on his career, Paul worked for the City of Providence water department and later switched to retail, where he worked for Ann & Hope for 30 years. While working at Ann & Hope, he was a part time realtor for Coldwell Banker which turned into a full-time career. He was a practicing realtor up until the time that he retired. Throughout his life, he was an avid antique collector, most notably, antique cars. For several years he was the President of the Ocean Bay Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club. He enjoyed attending car shows and his favorite cars were a 1938 Cadilac and a 1956 Packard. He also enjoyed gardening, listening to music and always looked forward to his yearly vacations to Barbados with Bianca. Above all else, he loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He truly cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.
Paul leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years, Bianca (Paesano) DeCesare. A daughter, Lisa Kennedy and her husband Thomas. Sons, Paul A. DeCesare Jr. and his wife Kimberly and Andrew DeCesare and his wife Holly. Grandchildren, Ryan, Carissa, Brianna, Gina, Joseph and Adam. He was the brother of the late Anthony DeCesare. Paul will also be missed by many extended family members and friends.
Visiting hours will be at A.A. Mariani and Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St. Providence on Wednesday, December 11th, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM with a service beginning at 12:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pauls name to the American Heart Association.
