Paul F. Devine, a cherished family man, esteemed businessman, and decorated Army veteran, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, at the age of 92, in Deptford, NJ. Born on February 24, 1933, in Camden, NJ, to the late Mark J. Devine and Frances Devine (Miles), he was a pillar of strength and wisdom to all who knew him.
Paul's formative years in Camden laid a strong foundation for a life marked by love, service, and dedication. After bravely serving his country in the Korean War, he returned to New Jersey, where he became a respected member of the community through his active involvement with Sacred Heart Church, Camden, and later with St. Cecelia's Church in Pennsauken. His commitment to faith and community was a testament to his character.
Paul was the owner and operator of C.O. Truxton, Inc. in Bellmawr, NJ, where he applied his wisdom and kindness in equal measure.
Despite his professional success, Paul's heart was always with his family. He was predeceased by his loving parents, his dear wife Anita L. Devine (Anicich), his brother Mark James Devine, his sister Delores Budesa, his son Gregory, his grandson Ethan, and his son-in-law Al. He leaves behind his devoted wife Tamara Devine (Antsupova), his brother Thomas Devine, his daughter Deborah King, sons Paul Devine (Mirian) and Brian Devine (Jaime), his cherished grandchildren Sean, Miles, Grace, Victoria, Olivia, Eva, Zoie, Hope, Dominic, Chase and Jaime, and his adored great-grandchildren Jakob, Alanna, Emma, Josiah, and Abigail.
Paul's love for life extended beyond his family and faith. As a proud VFW member, he continued to show his support for fellow veterans. His competitive spirit shone through in his hobbies as an avid pool and softball player, where he not only enjoyed the games but also the camaraderie of his teammates and opponents alike.
Those who knew Paul would describe him as loving, kind, and wise. His guidance and counsel were sought by many, and his presence provided comfort and stability. The legacy he leaves behind is one of love, integrity, and generosity of spirit. His laughter, his stories, and his wise words will be profoundly missed by all.
As we say goodbye to Paul F. Devine, we celebrate the remarkable life of a man who was truly the heart of his family and an unwavering friend to all. His memory will forever be treasured in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Paul's life was a journey of love, courage, and wisdom, and his story will be told with pride and admiration for generations to come. Rest in peace, Paul. Your love and legacy endure.
