Paul H. Eckert

Paul H. Eckert, 81, of Lititz, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Landis Homes.

Paul was born in the old Ephrata Hospital on the hill, to the late Henry and Mamie (Stover) Eckert. He was the husband of Karen L. (Ebersole) Eckert, with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage.

Paul enjoyed a variety of careers, beginning with 4 years of service in the Air Force. He then worked 8 years for Welsh Buick in Goshen, IN.

Upon his return to PA, he spent 10 years as a Supervisor of Sales and Service with Buch Church Organ Company in Ephrata. He delivered pianos and organs as far as Illinois, as well as transporting them to New Jersey and Philadelphia for Liberace and Lawrence Welk.

Paul joined the Office Works in 1981, eventually being appointed as the Retail Store Manager of the Lancaster Computer Center. He spent several years teaching Apple computer classes.

Paul then spent 27 years as a Radiology Technician at Ephrata Community Hospital where he valued all of the relationships he made with his co-workers and patients. He loved interacting with people and always had a smile. He especially enjoyed working in close proximity with his wife, an RN at ECH and together they walked out the door, both retiring in 2010.

Paul was a member of Forest Hills Mennonite Church, providing many years of leadership in the sound room.

Throughout his life, Paul enjoyed traveling with his wife, taking many cruises, and loved spending time at their cabin and home with family and friends.

Paul will be greatly missed by his wife; three daughters, Tamara Burkholder, Kori, wife of Dean Jantzen, Katie, wife of Lamar Levering Jr.; 16 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother, James Eckert.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10 to 11 AM, at Forest Hills Mennonite Church, 100 Quarry Road, Leola, followed by his memorial service at 11 AM.
