Deacon Paul Leo Gaucher, 71, of Grand Island, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025. Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, he moved to Grand Island in 2009 from Boca Raton, Florida. He worked and retired as a Sporting Goods Salesman. Paul was a member and Deacon at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis. He also served with the Knights of Columbus Council #8120. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Susan Gaucher, Grand Island, FL; brother, Dennis Gaucher, The Villages, FL. Deacon Paul was ordained as a Catholic Deacon on September 9, 2006 and we will celebrate his Funeral Mass on this 19th anniversary of his ordination at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, Eustis on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Viewing will be at the church prior to the Mass from 9:30 AM till 10:00 AM. Private Interment will be at Grand Island Cemetery, Grand Island. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Knights of Columbus Council #8120, St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, 218 Ocklawaha Avenue, Eustis, FL 32726.
