Paul G. Geiss, MD- Loving husband of Claire (nee Peterman) Geiss and the late Dorothy Geiss (nee Scheidler). Dear father of Paula Geiss, Gary Geiss, Gail Zammit, Lori (David) Wood, Jeffery Geiss, Dr. David (the late Christine) (Kathleen) Geiss, Donald Geiss, Griffin (Carol) Geiss, Neal Geiss, and Jennifer (Jeff) Obermeyer. Grandfather of Mehra (John Flick) Veremakis, Ian Veremakis, Evan (Brittany) Veremakis, Anya (John) Coriasso), Casey Zammit, Scotty Zammit, Hollyn (Jared) Gregory, Sarah Wood, Alden (Jimme) Wood, Nathan (Amerika) Wood, Natalie (David) Thompson, Nick Geiss, Angela (Adam) Reuhl, Adam Geiss, Jordan Geiss, Kyle (Kaitlyn) Geiss, Alaina Geiss, Amelia Geiss, Zoe Geiss, Piper Geiss, Kara (Clay) Herbert, and Emily Koch. Preceded in death by grandson, Scotty Zammit and great granddaughter: Alexandria Veremakis.
Paul passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 at the age of 99. He was a Navy Lieutenant in WWII and the Korean War. Paul was a graduate of Syracuse University Medical School and also received a Lay Pastoral degree from The Athenaeum of Ohio. Paul spent his career as an internist and as a cardiologist in the Cincinnati area. He was a member of the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine, served as a jail chaplain at the Hamilton County Justice Center, and was devoted to his Catholic faith. Paul enjoyed snow skiing, tennis, and traveling.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 22nd from 4-7pm at Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home, 3155 Harrison Ave., 45211. Funeral Mass Monday, June 23rd at 10:30 at St. Martin of Tours Church, 3720 St Martins Pl., 45211. Burial to follow at Spring Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Martin of Tours Church, St. Rita School for the Deaf, 1720 Glendale Milford Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45215, or a charity of your choice.
