Paul Gonzales, age 48, a resident of Albuquerque, was called home Friday, March 14, 2025. Paul is survived by his parents Sal and Ramona Gonzales, brother Matthew Gonzales, partner Angelique Miller, aunt Kay Hissa, nephews Erique Gonzales, Dominic Gonzales, cousins Shannon Fresquez (husband Mike Fresquez) B.J. Mendoza, Savannah Fresquez, Dylan Haze Mendoza and Emma Rose. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents John and Ruth Gonzales, maternal grandparents Pitacio and Catherine Mendoza, uncle Benny Mendoza and uncle Bobby Hissa. Paul was a heavy equipment operator for the City of Albuquerque landfill. He loved hunting and his all-time favorite pastime was bull riding. Paul never knew a stranger and he always wore a smile, a smile that will never be forgotten. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Paul had a heart of gold and will be forever missed.  Visitation will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church 1400 Arenal Rd. SW on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 7:45 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 8:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow the services at Sandia Memorial Park Cemetery 9500 San Pedro NE. Pallbearers will be Matthew Gonzales, Mike Fresquez, B.J. Mendoza, Arlen Aragon, Erique Gonzales, Dominic Gonzales; Honorary pallbearers will be Savannah Fresquez, Dylan Haze Mendoza and Emma Rose.
