Paul Charles Grondin, 83, of West Bloomfield, Michigan passed away on September 19, 2025 surrounded by family. Paul is survived by his beloved wife Susann Marie Grondin; daughter Amy Elizabeth Smith (Grondin) and her husband David Smith; son Jon Paul Grondin; dear sister Evelyn (Allan) Heath and his four grandchildren: Lillian, Gavin, Emme and Gus. The grandchildren brought him great joy and they will never forget the love, kindness, and special memories they shared with their Pop-Pop. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was extraordinarily proud of both his children and his grandchildren. His love and example will continue to inspire his family.

Paul was a graduate of Mackenzie High School before studying industrial design at Wayne State University. Paul received a scholarship for baseball and played four years on varsity. He then received his Master of Fine Arts degree. During his time at Wayne State he met the love of his life, Susann Vince. They married and built a life together and raised their two children. Paul was hired at H. B. Stubbs in 1967 and worked on trade/auto shows, worlds fairs, museums, mobile exhibits, corporate interiors, press events, marketing programs and more. He was passionate about his work and his experience included positions in the areas of exhibit design, graphic design, engineering, design direction, and account and project management. He retired in 2011 after 44 years at H. B. Stubbs Company.

Outside of his career Paul loved to play baseball, play hockey, work on projects in and around the house and yard, design and build furniture, coach and attend sporting events for his children and grandchildren. He was an original founding member and started the NW30 Northwest Mens Over 30 Hockey League at the Detroit Skating Club in 1970. He loved to travel, visit museums, and continue learning about history, nature and the world. He cherished spending time with his family and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Paul's life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 3pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday 12 noon until time of service. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to missionmsa.org for Multiple System Atrophy.
