Paul Anthony Haeuptle, 76, residing in Milan, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
Paul was born on December 3, 1948 in Oakland, CA to the late Robert J. and Mary Ellen (Nulk) Haeuptle.
Paul was a graduate of Milan High School in 1967 and received his masters degree in education from Bowling Green State University. He taught and coached wrestling and football at Edison High School and furthered his career as a vice principal and principal at Firelands High School, Eventually retiring from Education after 35 years of service. Paul was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and Sandusky Ski Club. Paul enjoyed skiing, riding his Harley, traveling, and working out. He was a devout catholic, was a man of faith, strong work ethic, was selfless, humble, and he always put his family first.
Paul is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Good) Haeuptle, whom he married in 1998. He is also survived by his 2 sons, Erik (Hazel) Haeuptle of NC and John (Feny) Haeuptle of AZ; grandchildren, Emalyn, Audrey, Alekzander and Avaleigh; 3 stepchildren, John, Brian and Lisa Reiter; 6 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; 6 brothers, Joe (Carla) Haeuptle, James (Shirley) Haeuptle, Patrick (Mary Jo) Haeuptle, Andrew (Connie) Haeuptle, Gregory Haeuptle, Charles (Nicole) Haeuptle; 4 sisters, Margaret Porter, Hildegard (Mark) Chanter, Rosemary (James) Nowell and Julie (Tom) Wireman and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his brother, John Haeuptle.
Friends may call on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Groff Funeral Homes - Milan Chapel, 1 South Main Street, Milan, OH. Friends may also call on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 145 S Center St, Milan, OH. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery.
