Paul E. Haney Jr., age 93, of Elgin, IL, passed away on August 19, 2025. He was born February 17, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA to his loving parents, Margaret (née Toomey) and Paul E. Haney Sr.

For 31 years, Paul worked at Bruner & Lay before his retirement. He was deeply involved in his church community, as well-faithfully serving as a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Purdy, MO.

Paul enjoyed life's blessings through his favorite pastimes-camping beneath the stars, bowling with friends, and playing pool. One of his greatest joys was the annual family reunion at Mount Nebo, AR, where cherished memories were made year after year.

Paul is survived by his wife, Shirley Haney; children, Allen (Bonnie) Haney, Paula (Dusty) Bender, and Sara (Gunnie) Stephens; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A memorial will be announced on Paul's family's Facebook page. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Paul's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
