Virginia M. Johansson, age 94, of Elgin, IL, passed away on August 9, 2025. She was born August 29, 1930 in Minot, ND to her loving parents, John E. and Alvina (née Fix) Moline.

Virginia graduated from Cambridge High School and went on to dedicate 35 years of service at Motorola. On August 29, 1958, she married the love of her life, Edward Johansson. The two met through mutual friends in Minnesota-it was love at first sight. They shared 58 beautiful years of marriage before Edward's passing, building a life together filled with laughter, family, and cherished memories.

Virginia was deeply devoted to her family and her faith. She had a vibrant social spirit and a natural ability to make friends wherever she went. Her home was always filled with warmth, stories from her younger years, and the comforting aroma of her home-cooked meals.

She loved knitting, sewing, gardening, shopping, and spending time with family. Animals held a special place in her heart, especially the cats and dogs she cared for over the years. Her generous nature, lively storytelling, and love for life left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Edward S. Johansson; and brothers, Valdez Moline and John Emmett "Johnny" Moline. She is survived by her children, Edward, Andrew, Penny (Larimer), and Chad Johansson; siblings, Gaynor Moline, Keith Moline, and Carol Larson; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; cousin, Donald Moline; and 14 nieces and nephews.

Interment will be private.
