Mr. Paul Franklin Hardrict
Paul Franklin Hardrict 69 was born October 15, 1954, to the union of Margaret Hardrict and Walter Scott in Cleveland Mississippi; entered into his rest on Wednesday September 4th, 2024, at Memorial Hospital.
Paul affectionately known as Billy Paul moved to South Bend as a young child along with his siblings, cousins and aunts. He attended public school at Ardmore and graduated from Riley High School.
Paul accepted Christ as his personal Savior and attended Temple of God Missionary Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and founding member.
He was employed with the Local Union Hall as a concrete mason where he retired in 2008. He went on to become a Security Guard with Transpo until his health would not allow him to continue.
Paul enjoyed watching Western's on TV and was an avid Colt's Fan. He loved spending time with his grandsons; teaching them all he knew about life. Paul was known for driving stylish trucks, motorcycles and especially his Lincoln.
Paul leaves behind to cherish is memories his two daughters, Bianca Howard and Jah'Kayla Hardrict. Grandsons Isaac Patton, Carlton Mitchell and Antwan Avance Jr. One sister Janice (Clyde) Clark, four brothers, Nick (Isabelle) Hardrict, Lee (Brenda) Montgomery, Michael Hardrict and Samuel Hardrict. And a Host of relatives and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his mother Margaret Hardrict, his father Walter Scott, grandmother Susie Hardrict, sister-in-law Schree Hardrict, his Aunts Ola Coleman, Earline Kirkland and Arbertha McBride and Uncle James Hardrict Sr. Billy will truly be missed.
Funeral services for Paul will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at New Horizons Outreach Ministry, 56165 Mayflower Rd., South Bend. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services. Palmer Funeral Home- West Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
