Paul Hecker

Paul D. Hecker, 62, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Born October 27, 1960, in New Brighton, PA, the son of Paul A. and Dollymae (Daman) Hecker. Graduate of Blackhawk High School in Beaver Falls, PA. Paul worked as a mechanic for Northwest Airlines. He was a member of USA Dance and was a HAMM Radio Operator. Paul loved camping, ballroom dancing and playing guitar. Paul was a kind and helpful friend to many and loved to spend time with the people he loved.
Survived by his partner of 16 years, Alison Bortoli; Alison's children, Andrea and Stephen Bortoli; sister, Donna (Rev. Andrew) Currao; nieces, Hannah (Clayton) Klosterman, Emily (Nick) Nehrt and Abigail Currao; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Evelyn, Layla & Josie Nehrt and Amos & Miles Klosterman. Predeceased by his mother in 2018 and father in 2020.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Olson North Main Chapel, 2811 N. Main St., Rockford. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Voss & Sons Funeral Service, 316 N. Chestnut St., Seymour, IN 47274. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 504 N. Walnut St., Seymour, IN. Burial to follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Seymour, IN.
