Paul Frank Hellmann II. The life of Paul came to a tragic end at his home in Corry, PA. on Friday January 19, 2024. Paul was the eldest son of Norma J. (Kresse) Hellmann of Erie and the late Paul F. Hellmann, Sr. He was born in Erie on October 27, 1964.
He graduated from McDowell and Vo Tech in 1983 with a certificate in Industrial Electricity.
He worked for several years as a locksmith with John Carneval and recently retired from A. J. Farrell Roofing Co. Paul was co-founder, designer, and colorist of fishing lures along with his brother Richard. They created the Someday Isle Tackle and together were featured in several fishing cruises on TV locally. He enjoyed fishing trips into Canada that included his brother Matthew and hunting out west.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his infant sister Carolyn and his sister-in-law Christie Hellmann.
Paul was the father of two sons, Shawn Paul Hellmann of Toledo, and Daniel Charles Hellmann of Corry. He was the proud Grandpa of 3 boys, Hunter Hellmann, Carter Hall, and Cooper Hall.
Paul is survived by his loving family who will forever mourn this loss of their son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend! His mother Norma, sister Kathryn J. Snider of Erie, her son Aaron M. Snider and his wife, Felicia and daughter Karalyn E. Snider, brother, Richard N. Hellmann, and his wife Mary of Harborcreek and their daughter Amber L, Hellmann, Matthew S. Hellmann and his partner, Diane MacWilliams of Erie and Matts son, Nathan M. Hellmann. Paul is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins near and across the USA.
Paul wanted to be cremated and have his cremains scattered in his favorite hunting and fishing areas.
Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory,1595 West 38th St. Erie on Saturday January 27, from 2 until 5:00 p.m. with a wake following at the 602 Club, 602 East 24th St. Erie.

Paul and I met at USA roller skating rink, we dated like innocent teenagers did for a short time, and remained friends during that time, we all always had fun together, I have not seen him or reconnected at all, now I wish we did, very sorry for the families loss. All my condolences and prayers.
