He entered this life on August 18, 1935 in Joplin, Missouri, born to the late, Paul Sumner Hight, Sr. and Juanita (Stockam) Hight. Paul married the love of his life, Carla Dawn Ferdig on October 5, 1980 in Joplin, Missouri. He owned and operated, Paul Hight Backhoe Service. He also worked for HHH Ironworks. Paul really enjoyed fishing and time spent outdoors.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tony Hight; brothers, Dick Hight, Jerry Hight and sister, Peggy Apple.
Those left to share Paul s memory are his wife of 41 years, Carla Hight of the home; four children, Dan Hight, Julie Starr and Jeffrey Hight all of Grove, Oklahoma; Stephanie Boggs of Noel, Missouri; a sister, Barbara Wolfe of Duenweg, Missouri; grandchildren, Marquez Mitchell, Maurice Mitchell, Maresha Leizear, Taylor Starr, Katie Mikolowski, Indya Hight, Gatlin Hight, Mason Hight, Dakoda Stevens and Skye Stevens; several great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family friends and neighbors, who will dearly miss Paul.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2022, Paul s 87th birthday, at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Gary Pugh will officiate.
