Paul William Holmstrup

Paul William Holmstrup, 75, of Philadelphia, PA passed away Sunday, December 3rd, at his residence surrounded by family. Paul was born in New York City, NY on January 27, 1948, a son of the late Dorothee (Heins) and late Christian Paul Sven Holmstrup. Paul was married to his beloved wife Helen Marie (Finsterbusch) Holmstrup in September of 2006.
Paul served in the U.S. Army in the United States Corp of Combat Engineers during the Vietnam War from 1968-1970. He was a member of the William D. Oxley A.L. Post 133. He worked as an operations analyst at Conrail Railway. Paul's favorite retirement pastimes included: fishing, camping, playing bridge, spoiling his granddaughter, and travelling the world with his beloved wife on many of their renowned cruises.
He is survived by his beloved wife Helen Marie (Finsterbusch) Holmstrup, loving stepdaughter Mary Collins (Jackie), granddaughter Shannon Collins, sister Karen Holmstrup (Rob), cousin Jan Holmstrup, aunt Joy Holmstrup,sister in-law Sister Francis Michael IHM and sister in-law Joanne Notturno (Joseph), also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Public Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 AM on Tuesday, December 12th at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home 507 West Ave. Jenkintown, PA. A Memorial Service will follow at 9:30am. Interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery Newtown, PA.
