Paul Fredrick Horwatt, age 78, was born on August 19, 1946, in Kingston, Pennsylvania, to Paul J. and Pauline (Hicks) Horwatt and he passed away at his home in Stonewall, Louisiana, on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
While in grade school, Paul was baptized at White Church on the Hill, in Trucksville, Pennsylvania. He went on to graduate from Dallas Senior High School in Pennsylvania. His service with the United States Air Force landed him at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana. Paul went on to work for and retire from General Motors in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Paul's true passion was being on the water with his self-built hydro motor racing boats. He lived and breathed racing boats. Before his racing boat days, he loved to customize and build funny cars.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory, are his wife, Barbara Kaiser; daughters, Tammy Horwatt Blair and Pamela Horwatt Darby; stepson, Tony Kaiser; stepdaughter, Shelley Kaiser; sisters, Jacalyn Dixon and Barbara Nekrasz, both of Pennsylvania; brother, Allen Horwatt; grandchildren, Johnathan Mauldin, Heather Phal, Dylan Darby, and Bella Darby; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Mauldin, Harlee Mauldin, Abigail Griffin and Edith Phal.
A memorial service will be held from 2:00 PM til 3:30 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71115.

I knew Paul back when he lived in Broadmoor on East Elmwood. I enjoyed working on his t-bucket with him. Sorry for your loss.he will be missed. Rest in peace.
