Paul H. Ionata

Paul H. Ionata of Ewing Township, NJ died on Tuesday, April 10 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton, NJ. He was 83.Born in Trenton, Mr. Ionata was a life-time resident of Ewing, NJ. Son of the late Paul and Sophia Ionata, he is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Diana (Gentile) Ionata; his five children, Dennis P. Ionata and his wife Michele of Columbus, NJ; Sandra Kellar and her husband Arlie of Ewing, NJ; Claudia Gonzalez and her husband Juan of Newtown, PA; Maria Matteo of Solebury, PA; Michael Ionata and his wife Sandra of Easton, PA. He leaves behind five grandchildren, Alejandra, Juan, and Ana Gonzalez all of Newtown, PA; Carla and Steven Kellar, both of Ewing, NJ and his great granddaughter Kali Kellar of Ewing, NJ. His two sisters, Rosemarie Schafer of Lawrenceville, NJ; Yolanda Principi of Yardley PA, and brother, Rudolph Ionata of Ewing, NJ. He also leaves behind a cousin, Nancy Sanders of Ridgewood, NJ and a nephew William Schafer his wife Amy and their three children Lindsey, Matthew and Jesse of East Brunswick, NJ.Mr. Ionata was a parishioner of Incarnation Church and devoted to his wife and family. He was a retiree from General Motors Corporation with 30 years of service and a veteran of the Korean War. Calling hours will be Saturday from 9am until the time of the mass at 10:30AM in the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrenceville Rd., Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum, Hamilton. There are no calling hours at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warriors, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 or a charity of the donor's choice.Arrangements are under the direction of the M.
