Paul spent his early childhood years in Carmel, California, before his family moved to Okinawa, Japan where he attended grade school at the US Department of Defense school in Kadena Airbase. He graduated from John Marshall High School in San Antonio, TX. He received his Bachelor's in Management from Trinity University and his MBA from the University of Texas San Antonio. While working in San Antonio, he met the love of his life and future wife Sarah, who was still studying at Trinity. Paul and Sarah got married and had two daughters. Paul went on to have a very rewarding career in Human Resources, retiring from M.D. Anderson where he was leading a Human Resources team.
Paul was at his happiest spending time with family and all the fur babies. He loved to spend his Friday nights at Sylvia's Enchilada Kitchen, weekend pool parties, and vacation adventures from the Atlantic to the Pacific. He was a true history buff and an avid collector of antique war guns. He was a man of so many talents and loved playing tennis with his wife and daughters, shooting bow and arrows in his backyard archery setup, golfing, shooting sporting clays, throwing knives, carpentry projects, and learning new instruments like the saxophone or drums. His zest for life was contagious and Paul never shied away from a challenge at any sport, game, or project around the house. Paul was strong in his faith and was an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church. He participated as an usher for church services and always enjoyed teaching Sunday school. Paul didn't take life too seriously, his fun silly nature kept everyone laughing.
He was the most caring and devoted husband, a loving father and grandparent, and was immensely proud of his girls.
