Paul Keel Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Robarts Family Funeral Home - Wauchula Chapel on Dec. 8, 2025.
Paul Ray Keel

77, of Wauchula, FL. went to join the Lord on December 4, 2025, at Good

Shepherd Hospice House, surrounded by the love of his family. Born to

Thurman and Pauline, Paul grew into a man of deep faith, dedication, and

service-values that shaped every chapter of his life.

Paul proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam era.

After returning home, he attended and graduated from Southeastern Bible

College where he met his wife Debbie D. He devoted 32 years to shaping young

minds as a beloved schoolteacher in Wauchula. At both the junior high and

high school levels, he taught graphic arts and history and faithfully operated

the Hardee County School Board's print shop, leaving a lasting impact on

countless students and colleagues.

For 47 years, Paul was a committed member of Florida's First Assembly of

God Church. His servant's heart led him to contribute in many roles,

including serving on the church board for over 30 years, Royal Rangers as

an Outpost Commander, Section 11 leader, and Deputy District Commander,

Sunday school teacher, children's ministry leader, and in various hands-on

ministries such as landscaping. His faith guided his life, and his church

family held a special place in his heart.

Paul had a lifelong passion for trains. He spent many joyful hours working in

his train room and was a proud member of the Ridge Model Railroad Club,

serving as the Secretary/Treasurer for 6 years, where he shared his love of

railroading with fellow enthusiasts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Pauline, and his

sister, Sarah. He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Debbie; son,

Paul II (Paige); daughter, Carrie (Rozco) Orozco; brother, George (Linda);

and his cherished grandchildren: Brenden, Destin, Paul III, Kaylie, Sarah,

Abby, and Chloe.

Paul will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, gentle strength, and the

love he poured into his family, students, and church community. His legacy

will continue to live on in the many lives he touched.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10:00 a.m.

until service at 11:00 a.m. at Florida's First Assembly of God Church in

Wauchula. He will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell,

Florida at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to Bud and Donna

Somers, Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Rd, Sebring, FL 33870.
