Paul Eugene Kelley, affectionately known as "Archie," left this world on August 28, 2025, at his home. Born on July 30, 1947, in Highland Park, Michigan, to John and Josephine (Pfeiffer) Kelley, Paul grew up with a passion for working with his hands and a love for tinkering in the garage, which became a hallmark of his personality throughout his life.
For 33 years, Paul dedicated himself to his career as a machine operator for Braun Engineering in Detroit, where his strong work ethic and attention to detail earned him the respect of his colleagues. Beyond his professional life, he was a devoted father and husband, known for his unwavering support and dedication to his family.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife Mary A., with whom he shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. He also leaves behind his daughters: Paula Stratos, Robin Kelley-Matczak, Erin Halstead, Jennifer LaMay, Kelly Jones, and Carrie Peeler, as well as his brother Rich Kelley. Paul's legacy continues through his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will remember him for his kindness and guidance.
He was predeceased by his daughter Deana Brown and son Mel Jones, who are cherished in the memories of those who loved them.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled for September 2, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Homes in West Branch, Michigan. Paul Eugene Kelley will be fondly remembered for his role as a great dad, a caring friend, and a steadfast provider, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
