Paul R Kitchin Sr (1941-2025) passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025 in Jupiter, FL. Mr. Kitchin served his country in the United States Air Force where he met his wife Sandra "Sandi" Kitchin while stationed in Homestead, FL. They were married 61 years and raised two children, Paul Kitchin Jr. of Columbia, South Carolina where he lives with his wife Shelley and Shannon Cooke of New Milford, Connecticut and her husband David Cooke. Mr. Kitchin also has two grandchildren Bree of Charleston, SC who is a rising Sr. at Philips Simmons High School and Ian Cooke who is a recent graduate from the University of Connecticut. Ian is an All American and recent Big East Conference pitcher of the year for the Huskies baseball team.
Paul was an avid sports fan and follower of all University of Tennessee sports. He was a mentor to many young athletes he coached. He was very involved with both of his children during their playing days.
He has one surviving brother, James Kitchin of Knoxville, TN. He was preceded in death by is Mother Mabel and Father Harvey.
Services for Mr. Kitchin will be private with immediate family.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to any youth sports organizations of your choice in your local area.
Paul will be sadly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, brother and all of his friends.
