Paul Langsam passed away on September 17, 2024, at Upstate Medical University Hospital. Paul was
born on August 3, 1960, in Brooklyn NY to his parents Abraham and Muriel Langsam. Paul grew up in
Flatbush Brooklyn, along with his sister Kathy Lynn.
Paul resided in a group home in Brooklyn in his late childhood, eventually getting placement with
CNYDDSO. Paul moved into Westmoreland Rd IRA in 1991, where he resided for over 30 years until his
passing. Paul attended Marcy Day Hab since the early 90's and built special bonds with the staff he
worked with over the years.
Paul enjoyed structure and his routine, you would always see him peek into the kitchen about 30
minutes before diner time, checking to make sure whoever was cooking, was sticking to the schedule.
One of his favorite things were magazines, loving how the pages felt as he quickly flipped through them.
Paul shared a special bond with his sister Kathy and always looked forward to her and her husband
Steve's annual visit up from Florida. Paul was regimented and enjoyed his personal time and space, but
he had a smile that could win over anyone's heart. He will be missed.
Paul is predeceased by his parents Abraham and Muriel Langsam. He is survived by his sister and
brother-in-law Kathy & Steve Truelsen of Cape Coral FL, as well as the many staff and clinical team
members who have cared or Paul throughout the years.
Services will be held at Dimbleby Funeral Home 40 Main St. Whitesboro NY 13492 on Monday September 30, 2024, at 11am.
