Paul Leach Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Darby Funeral Home - Canton on Dec. 20, 2025.
Paul Douglas "Doug" Leach, age 69, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Born on June 30, 1956, in Great Falls, Montana, Doug was the beloved son of Lloyd and Ruth Leach of Martin, Georgia.

Doug lived a life defined by love - for God, his family, his work, and the simple joys that brought him happiness. He graduated from Georgia Tech, making him a proud, lifelong Yellow Jacket. He devoted 30 years of his career to working with Western Electric, AT&T, and Lucent, where his steady work ethic and dedication were appreciated by colleagues and friends alike. But above all professional accomplishments, Doug's greatest pride and joy were his family. His love for his children was boundless, and that deep love extended with sheer delight to his grandchildren.

He was a man who found contentment outdoors, tending his garden, shaping landscapes, and woodworking. Doug's great sense of humor, his love of Rock & Roll, and his fondness for his pets added joy to every day. An amazing husband who delighted in spoiling his wife, Doug was also a loyal and loving son and brother. His family was at the heart of every chapter of his life.

Doug is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Belinda Leach of Woodstock, Georgia; his sons Harrison Leach of Woodstock, Georgia, Garrett (Jessica) Leach of Canton, Georgia, and Brice Leach of Woodstock, Georgia; his brother Joe (Theresa) Leach of Lawrenceville, Georgia; his sister Lori (Jimmy) Wheeler of Loganville, Georgia; sisters-in-law Cindy (Tim) Bush of Reidsville, North Carolina, and Jeri Breedlove of McLeansville, North Carolina; his cherished grandchildren Olan, Amos, and Enid Leach; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to pay tribute and celebrate Doug's life at a visitation on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Darby Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home. Pastor Mandy Fernandez will officiate. Doug will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro, North Carolina on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Doug's memory to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

Doug will be remembered for his warmth, his laughter, his love of family, and the unwavering care he shared with every life he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and treasured moments that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is honored to serve the Leach family.
