Paul Henri Joseph LeBlanc: It is with the saddest of hearts that we want to inform our family and friends of the passing of the glue to our family, our superhero, our light in the darkest of places; a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Son, Uncle, Godfather, Cousin, and friend to so many; Paul Henri Joseph LeBlanc (RN, MSN, PhD).
Paul (64), passed away on Saturday, August 10th, 2024, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. Paul was born in Moncton, NB, Canada to Douglas LeBlanc (Barbara Murray) and Mildred (Lirette) LeBlanc (deceased) on July 12th, 1960. Paul's willingness to help others was demonstrated daily through his career in nursing. He was an established RN with a PhD, where his most recent path led him to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist as a Nurse Manager of Radiology.
Paul is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy (Stein) LeBlanc, with whom he shared 4 beautiful daughters; who are honored to carry on his legacy, Kristen (Frank), Kaela, Heidi (Matthew) and Bryanna; grandchildren, Zaydin, Ashlyn, Zoie, Truette and Harper; brother, Brian (Pam); sister, Norma (Eugene); best friends, Clifford "Spiff" Wadman and Lawrence "Tommy" Twiddy; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Paul will be most remembered for his love for his family, his bright personality, brilliant mind, calming voice, love for cooking, willingness to always lend an ear or offer advice, his words of wisdom, drive to find the best deals and his comforting spirit. He was often seen by friends in Walmart, Home Depot, or Lowes with his sidekicks Matt and/or TJ. Paul was also a published author and currently was working on many short stories to carry on his daughter Kaela's legacy, who passed away in May 2022.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 17th, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church in Graham, NC. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 PM until 12:45 PM prior to the service. We ask that anyone who attends the funeral service, please do not wear all black and wear something colorful to represent Paul's bright personality. For those unable to attend the service in person, it will also be live streamed on YouTube by searching Bethel Baptist Church-funeral Paul LeBlanc.
