PAUL LEIDY

Paul Barry Leidy  (Age 79)  
Of Manassas, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington, VA. He was born in Sellersville, PA, and raised in Perkasie, PA. Paul enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1960 and served for 26 years retiring as Chief Master Sergeant. He was then employed by the Department of Defense in 1986 as a Personnel Security Specialist in the Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals for 22 years until retiring in 2008. Paul was an honorary life member of the American Legion Post 364, Woodbridge, VA and served as Post Commander in 1992 and 1993. He was a member of the Forty and Eight Voiture Locale 380. Paul was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Lake Ridge, VA.He is preceded in death by his father, Chester; mother, Evelyn; and his brother, Dale Leidy. He is survived by his loving wife, JoAnne, of 59 years; two sons, Jeffrey and his wife, Alisa, of Beverly Hills, FL; and James of FL; his brothers, Victor Leidy and his wife, Donna, of Lehighton, PA; and Ronald Leidy and his wife, Cindy, of Perkasie, PA; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2021, 11:30 a.m. at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd, Dale City, VA 22193, followed by interment at 1 p.m. at Quantico National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Foundation. www.mountcastle.net
