Paul A. Marcus, 68, of Willmar, passed away Wednesday, June 11th at St. Cloud Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 27th at Eagle Lake Lutheran Cemetery, with a reception to follow. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26th at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. www.hafh.org
Paul was born September 22, 1956, in Willmar, the son of Dick G. and Grace (Fokken) Marcus. He grew up in Raymond, was baptized at First Christian Reformed Church in Prinsburg, attended Sunnyside Elementary School, and graduated from Raymond High School in 1974. He continued his education at Willmar Vo-Tech, graduating in 1976.
In 1978, Paul was united in marriage to Lori Wright. They were blessed with two sons, Brian and Joseph. Paul worked as a mechanic for the City of Willmar Wastewater Treatment Plant for 31 years, retiring in 2021.
On September 21, 2002, he married Christine Pederson. They made their home in Willmar until her passing on July 4, 2020.
Paul enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing, and cherished time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, Brian (Kellie) Marcus of Minnetrista and Joseph Marcus of Willmar; step-children, Nichole Olson (special friend, Alex) of Willmar, Jesse (Leslie) Olson of Raymond, and Dustin Olson of Raymond; and eight grandchildren: Nathan, Ethan, Chevy, Shaylee, Jenesis, Presley, Kason, and Roman.
Also surviving are his siblings: Garvin (Cathy) Marcus of Raymond, Esther (Butch) Halterman of Montevideo, Marlin (Anna) Marcus of New London, Jerry (Carol) Marcus of Roseland, and Delmar Marcus of Willmar.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine; parents, Dick and Grace; sister, Jean; and step-son, Kurt Olson.
