Paul was born during the depression in 1936 to Paul and Linda Lee Marusic. He was 88 years young when he died on the Sabbath of 23 of August about 1 month short of turning 89.

His mother was Irish and grew up on a small farm in GA. She would take him as a kid to GA in the summer to visit his grandparents. His father was Ukrainian and born in the Chicago area near Halsted and Polk Street. This area was very popular, and it became known as Maxwell Street neighborhood.

Paul grew up and graduated from Harrison High School on 24 Street and Sacramento Boulevard in the city of Chicago. After graduating high school and taking a couple of years off Paul decided to go to college at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois and acquired a Bachelor of Science degree. He graduated from this University in June of 1962. Most people are surprised of his Bachelor of Science degree, because of his modesty.

In August of 1962 at the age of about 25 Paul joined the Army for a 3-year tour. He was stationed in Germany for the last 2 years of his tour. While in the Army and stationed in Germany he took a 9 month leave and traveled all over Europe on a shoestring budget. This experience made him realize he loved traveling and would continue to do it throughout his life. Out of all the places in Europe he fell in love with England and the British Empire. All throughout his home in Cedar Lake, IN he had pictures of the Queen of England and other memorabilia as he would continue to travel there after his stint in the Army.

In 1964 the war in Vietnam broke out and he requested to be transferred to Vietnam for the last 9 months of his Army tour. But the US government did not want to send him to Vietnam unless he enlisted for another 2 years. Therefore, he turned down the extension and never went to serve in Vietnam.

Upon returning home from the Army, Paul moved to Oklahoma for a year to get his aviator's license. For various reasons he did not pursue his pilot's license.

Paul never did marry or have any children, and he was an only child. He loved his aunt (his mother's sister Clara) and would often refer to her affectionately and his 2nd mother.

His mother Linda died in 1990 and his father Paul died in 1995. Paul was not a Jr. because his father did not have a middle name. So, after the death of his dad he sold his childhood home and moved to Cedar Lake, IN in 1998. He purchased the model home that he toured and eventually spent the next 20 plus years furnishing his home with 1000s of books, paintings and art sculpture's. Another one of his passions was history his beloved United States of America and the civil war. So many of his books at his home were on the topic of the American Revolution, US history, WWI and WW2, the founding fathers and its presidents. Needless to say, he loved his country, Winston Churchill and the Great British Empire. He owned many collections of books about Winston Churchill and the Royal Family of England.

One day in the future I am sure he will be teaching this history as a professor to anyone who will be willing to listen.

Around 2017 he joined the Philadelphia Church of God. He began keeping the Sabbath upon meeting with Mr. Anderson a local minister. He learned about God's Holy Days from Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong and Mr. Gerald Flurry and attended the Philadelphia Church of God until he fell in May of 2023 and fractured his hip. He was a member of the Chicago and Wisconsin Spokesman Club and passed his speech on the same night that he fractured his hip.

While listening to Mr. Armstrong on the radio and the World Tomorrow broadcast in the mid-70s, he studied the bible and very slowly started changing his life. He began learning about clean and unclean meat and other truths of the bible and would abstain from eating pork and seafood.

At about this same time he learned about the Sabbath from Mr. Armstrong and God's annual Holy Days but never acted on what he learned until about the last 10 years of his life. The most important subject for Paul in his last 15 years was learning the truth of the bible, God's laws, Holy Days and God's give way of life. He often said how blessed he was for finally turning to God and learning the truth about the God of Israel and His people. And is looking forward to the 2nd resurrection to continue to learn God's Truth and pick up where he left off!
