Paul E. Morgan, Jr., age 91, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
He was born on June 30, 1934, in Syracuse, New York, to the late Paul and Marian (Earnshaw) Morgan. He was a graduate of Marcellus Central School and Auburn Community College.
Paul proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1952-1956, including in the VW1 squadron. Following his military service, he worked at General Electric and transitioned to working as a facilities engineer in aircraft manufacturing. One of these highlights was contributing to the team that built the Stealth Bomber.
A dedicated and community-minded man, he was willing to volunteer wherever he lived. In Marcellus, NY, he was a volunteer firefighter and Boy Scout leader. In Maryland, he coordinated a youth build project for St. Mark's Episcopal Church that provided repairs and safety updates for local residents in need. In addition, he assisted at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. In Bowling Green, he served at the Carter Historic Farm for many years.
Paul was a member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Perrysburg, and a former member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Boonsboro, Maryland. He was also a member the American Legion Post 211 in Funkstown, Maryland.
On December 1, 1953, Paul married his kindergarten sweetheart, Hazel McManus Morgan, after she typed the letter giving him permission to marry before the age of 21. She survives in Bowling Green.
Along with his wife of 71 years, Hazel, Paul is survived by his loving children, Mike Morgan of Princeton, West Virginia, Beth (Joe) Adle of Beltsville, Maryland, Amy Morgan (Susan) of Bowling Green, Ohio, brother David Springs of Syracuse, New York, grandchildren Andrew Adle, Morgan Adle, Alex Adle, Jessica Morgan and 9 great-grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his sons, Dave and Bob, and grandchildren Chris and Jason Morgan.
A celebration of life service for Paul will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home located in the historical district of Bowling Green, Ohio 408 W. Wooster St.
