Robert Dahlie

Robert Dahlie, 63, of Lindsey, Ohio passed away November 12, 2025. He was born in Marshfield, WI on January 1, 1962 to the late Norman and Carol (Ohm) Dahlie. He married Patricia Shay on June 8, 2013.
Robert was a proud graduate of Phillips High School and the University of Minnesota, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism. Following graduation, Bob managed the family business, Dahlie Hardware in Phillips, Wisconsin prior to relocating to Ohio. He spent 25 years working at Silgan Containers, first in manufacturing and later in ordering and procurement, before retiring.
A dedicated member of Lindsey Trinity Church, Robert found great joy in leading the Operation Christmas Child shoebox program, helping with Vacation Bible School, and occasionally serving as a lay reader. In his free time, he loved participating long distance with his trivia team, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and his alma mater, the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Bob's passion for sports extended beyond being a fan; he served as a team manager, volunteered as a basketball coach, and served as an announcer for local football, baseball, and basketball games.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, son Hunter Matney of Napoleon, OH, and stepsons Nikolas (Ashley) Shay of Huron, OH, and Paul Shay of Maumee, OH, brothers Peter (Kathryn) Dahlie MD of Philips, WI, John (Katherine) Dahlie DDS of Weston, WI, and sister Kathryn Meyer of Menasha, WI.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Rick Meyer, and first wife Wendy Matney.
Bob's celebration of life will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Lindsey Trinity Church in Lindsey, Ohio at 1:00pm. He will be laid for his final rest in the family plot in Phillips, Wisconsin at a later date.
