Paul Andros Moscatt, Jr. ended his earthly journey on 08/28/2025 (the feast of Saint Augustine) after 2 and a half years battling cancer. He is survived by his spouse of 27 years, Gaetano R. Lotrecchiano, and lived in Baltimore, Beltsville, and Snow Hill, MD. His immediate family, including Paul Moscatt, Sr., Carlene Moscatt, and Elena Moscatt, mourns his loss. He had 15 nieces and nephews by marriage: Linda and Robert Gaylon, George and Samantha Schneider, Julie Ziegler, Erica Schneider, Mary Ziegler, Michelle Ziegler and Matthew Shock, Michael and Alison Schneider, Lisa and John Johnson, Elizabeth and Jamie, and their children. Paul is remembered as a kind, caring, and gentle person, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was an exceptional technician who possessed extraordinary skills in computer science, hardware maintenance, and data retrieval, and had a profound impact on the medical and health sciences, as well as on astrological and meteorological data management. He held positions at Johns Hopkins University, Children's National Medical Center, and Science Systems and Applications Incorporated (SSAI). In his later years, he built and explored the work of 3D printing, providing many with practical solutions to engineering problems. He will be remembered through the Lotrecchiano-Moscatt Team Science Award, which supports doctoral students seeking to research the mechanisms and dynamics of team science in health, medicine, engineering, and computational science.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 at 4pm at Byrd Park, Central Pergola, in Snow Hill, Maryland.

Paul and his husband have requested that mourners who wish to extend the legacy of Paul A. Moscatt, Jr., contribute to the Lotrecchiano-Moscatt Team Science Award.
