Paul Myers Obituary

Paul Steven Myers, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, left this world on August 22, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on February 2,1948, Paul lived a life marked by dedication, faith, and a deep commitment to his family and community.

Paul spent 26 years as a dedicated teamster at Graves/ANR Truckline, Local 41, after which he transitioned to work for the Treasury Department for 13 years. These professional years were characterized by his strong work ethic and unwavering determination to provide for his family. He was respected not just for his skills, but for the integrity he displayed every day.

Education was important to Paul; he graduated from Cairo high school and went on to earn his degree in geology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. His pursuit of knowledge complemented his artistic talents, making him a true renaissance man. Paul had a penchant for cooking and enjoyed sharing meals with family and friends, often brightening their days with his culinary skills and infectious humor.

For 53 beautiful years, Paul shared his life with his beloved wife, Charri. They created a warm and loving home, enriched by their shared dreams and joys. Paul was not only a devoted husband but also a supportive father, cherished by his family. As a grandfather, he was a guiding light, taking immense pride in nurturing the next generation.

A man of great faith, Paul proudly served as an elder at Heartland Church of Christ for many years. Paul followed Christ and was a supporter of mission work, giving selflessly to uplift others. He was also known for his dedication to Fairhavens Children’s Home, embodying the spirit of giving throughout his life. His commitment to bringing joy to children was beautifully illustrated through his role as Santa Claus — a tradition he embraced since 1997 — delighting countless young hearts and fulfilling their dreams.

Paul's interests extended beyond his work and family. He was a dedicated sports fan, passionately supporting the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Dorothy Myers; father-in-law, Rooney Carr; nephew, Daniel Cornelison; and his niece, Jaycee Stockwell.

He is survived by his loving wife, Charri Myers; his son Andrew Myers (Jody); daughters, Stephanie Reifert (Jer bear), Sarah Adair (Jeff), and Amber Myers; brother, Mark Myers (Jane) grandchildren, Gavin (Carson), Christopher, Allison, Gunnar, Ethan, and Annistyn; his mother-in-law, Addie Carr; as well as many dear family members and loved friends.

Paul's memorial services will be held at Heartland Church of Christ, located at 6120 NW Prairie View Rd., Kansas City, MO 64151. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service starting at 11:00 AM and concluding at noon. Following the service, Paul will be laid to rest at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, KS 66210, with interment beginning at 1:00 PM.

In life's passing, Paul's legacy of love, faith, and generosity will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered as a man who lived fully and loved deeply.
