It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Robert Nalbach, who passed away following an unexpected medical emergency on February 13, 2025, at the age of 57.
Paul was born on September 15, 1967, in Wisconsin Rapids to Joseph Nalbach and Susan Villareal. At the time of his death, Paul was a journeyman pipefitter for Haza Mechanical and a cherished son, brother, uncle, stepfather, grandfather, and beloved friend to so many.
In August 2012, Paul married the love of his life, Renae Rogers Hansen. While Paul's life had always been purposeful and enjoyable, his marriage to Renae brought him an even deeper sense of fulfillment. Together, they shared a beautiful life full of love, and Paul was fortunate to become an important part of Renae's family. He embraced the role of stepfather to her three adult sons and became the beloved Papa Paul to their children. His patience, kindness, and understanding enriched their lives in ways that will forever be cherished. Paul especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, introducing them to his passions and creating memories that will be treasured.
Paul will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was known for his quiet, humble, and steady presence. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Paul understands that his memory can't be captured in words, but in the shared moments that brought a smile to your face.
Paul is survived by his mother, Susan Villareal; his stepmother, Sharon Nalbach; his brothers, Dave (Jackie) Nalbach and Mark (Mandy) Nalbach; his stepsister, Christie Gause-Bemis; his stepbrother, Mark (Ali) Konkel; his stepsons, Shane (Robyn) Hansen, Travis Hansen, and Josh Hansen; and his grandchildren, Easton Hansen, Haylie Cronkrite, Macy Hansen, Harper Hansen, Josie Hansen, and Lincoln Hansen.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Renae Nalbach; his father, Joseph Nalbach; his stepfather, Doug Hambach; and his stepsister, Michelle Konkel Bean.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Paul's life.
