Paul William Nunnery Jr., age 56, of La Harpe, Kansas, passed away on November 26, 2025. He was born on September 9, 1969, to Paul William Nunnery Sr. and Barbara (St. Hours) Nunnery.
Paul was the definition of a hard worker, steady, tough, and the kind of man who could run circles around just about anybody. He made his living operating heavy equipment for Nelson Quarry in Gas, Kansas, a job he took pride in and showed up day after day for fifteen years. No matter how demanding the work was, he never shied away from it.
Paul first married Bobbie Nunnery, and that marriage was blessed with three children: William, Danielle, and Steven. Though life took its turns and that marriage later ended, Paul eventually found the love of his life, Terri. Paul and Terri were married on March 22, 2022. They shared a bond built on loyalty, routine, and simple everyday love, he called her every single day on his break, without fail.
Outside of work, Paul enjoyed the things that made him feel free, golfing, mowing, fishing, and especially kayaking. He loved being outdoors, loved a good catch, and loved a cold Busch Light at the end of a long day. He was a HUGE Kansas City Chiefs fan from birth, and never missed cheering on his favorite, Travis Kelce. He didn't care much for having his picture taken, but he was the first to show up when someone he loved needed him.
Family meant everything to Paul. His grandkids were the center of his world, and he was happiest when surrounded by them. He was family-oriented in every sense, present, dependable, and proud of the people he called his own.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents Barbara and Paul Nunnery Sr.; Brother Roy Nunnery.
He is survived by Wife of Three Years Terri Nunnery; Three Children, Danielle Nunnery, William Nunnery, and Steven Nunnery; Three Step-Children; 8 Grandchildren and one due in February of 2026; Siblings, Paula Manning, Bob Main and wife Ruth Woodell, Louie Main and husband, Jimmy Nunnery; Paul will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
