It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Paul Kunkel Olandt, who passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Paul was born in New Jersey and graduated from Pitman High School, where he played nearly every sport. He went on to graduate from Lycoming College, where he met Connie, his partner in life for 63 wonderful years.

For 35 years, Paul had a blast in the explosives industry, a job he truly loved, that took him and his family across Pennsylvania, Iowa, New Jersey, North Carolina, and finally Tennessee, where he retired in Tellico Village.

In retirement, Paul embraced life to the fullest. He loved golfing, boating, and spending time with friends and family. He also had a passion for travel and hunting. Among his fondest traditions were his fall hunting trips to South Dakota and Reelfoot, Tennessee.

Paul had a gift for making people feel welcome. He was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Claus and Fran Decker Olandt, and his son, Jonathan. He is survived by his devoted wife, Connie; his brother Eric (Molly), his children, Jill Mooney (Michael) and Jeff (Candy); his grandchildren, Neil Mooney, Tyler (Jessica), Spencer (Laurie), Scott (Amber), Crispin, Jon Scott, and Trevor; and his five great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held at Click Funeral Home in Farragut, with a celebration of life to follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eastbourne Animal Shelter, 130 Kefauver Lane, Madisonville, Tennessee, 37354.
