Paul Orell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals-West Chapel - North Adams on Dec. 20, 2023.
Paul N. Orell, 82 of Williamstown, MA. died Saturday December 16, 2023 at the home of his son surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Williamstown on May 22, 1941 a son of the late Napoleon and Ellen (LeBeau) Orell. He attended schools in Williamstown and was a member of the Massachusetts National Guard.
Paul was employed at the Pownal Tannery and Cornish Wire in Williamstown; he then was employed for several years at General Electric in Pittsfield before retiring from Mass MOCA. Paul and his wife Betty also worked as supervisors for the Williamstown Elementary School playground and as crossing guards. Many former students fondly remembered him and called him Mr. Paul which made him feel proud that he was still remembered by his former students.
Paul was an avid photographer, enjoyed fishing in the summer and winter, camping, and his beloved tropical fish. He was a longtime member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. His family meant everything to him and they learned to love his hobbies.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years Betty Lou (Flanders) Orell, son Richard Orell and his wife Doris of North Adams, Deborah Cooper and her husband Joe of Clarksburg; grandchildren Misty Cooper, Kathy Boucher and her husband Curtis, Aiden Cooper; great grandchildren Elliana Boucher, Ayla Boucher and Jack Cooper Chesbro and sister Joyce Orell of Williamstown. He was predeceased by two brothers Harry "Skip" Orell and Richard "Dick" Orell.
At Paul's request there are no calling hours. A Memorial Talk will take place at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, West Shaft Road Terrace in North Adams on Saturday January 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM. To add to the Book of Memories, please visit www.flynndagnolifuneralhomes.com
