Paul Edward Peyton went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 24, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas at the age of 86.
A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30th at Hopewell Cemetery in Alvord, Texas
He was born on January 10, 1939, to John and Willie Peyton in Decatur, Texas. He went to Alvord High School and graduated in 1957. He was an avid athlete excelling in many sports. He lived with his parents on their dairy farm with eight brothers and sisters until he entered the Army. He married Nancy Bess on July 27, 1984. They were married 41 years.
He was a carpenter and built many houses and custom cabinets until retiring in 2012. He owned Builders Planing Mill. Paul enjoyed traveling on his Honda Goldwing motorcycle with many friends. Paul was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bowie, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, John Henry Peyton, Jr., Guenn Peyton, George Peyton, Wayne Peyton, Roy Peyton and one sister Donna Nickerson.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, daughter Debbie Johnson and husband Elton of Bowie, Texas, three grandsons Trace Finn and wife Carrie of Bowie, Texas, Trey and Trent Johnson of Bowie, Texas, two stepsons Bobby Hale of Bowie, Texas, Shane Hale of Lewisville, Texas, one step grandson Micah Hale of Gainesville, Texas, two sisters, Linda Sue Worley and husband Roger of Graceland, Texas, Margie Peyton of Saginaw, Texas and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
