Paul Pflughoeft Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schinderle Funeral Home - Algoma on Oct. 26, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Paul Pflughoeft, 81 years old, was reunited with his creator on 23 October 2025. He was born in Algoma, WI and resided there his whole life. Paul was a lifetime member of the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he also went through their parochial school from second grade until 8th grade, when he transitioned to the Algoma high school and graduated in 1963. While in school, Paul was also a member of the FFA.
Paul grew up on White Ash Valley Farm; this was the family farm that was established in the mid to late 1800's. On the farm the family primarily milked cows and sawed lumber on the sawmill. Paul's father Erwin would create a fire in the forest to keep the family warm while they harvested small trees that the family would burn for heat through the winter months. Paul went on to take over the family farm from his father until he sold it in 1997. Never wanting to stray too far away from the agriculture world and always treating it as a hobby more than work; Paul began working at Ebert Enterprises in 2007, where he delivered feed to the cows & helped with spring and fall field work when needed. He worked for Ebert's until his retirement.
In retirement, Paul found joy in an old hobby of his, making and creating wood glider benches, swings, bed frames, and bird houses. Additionally, his passion for helping local organizations saw him working at the Kewaunee County Food Pantry and delivering for the Meals on Wheels Program.
Paul is survived by his children, Amanda (Dan), Melissa (Timmy), Megan, & Matthew (Jennifer), his grandchildren Katie, Dylan, Carter, Sam, & Abby. His sisters Bethel & Cheryl (Tom), and their children.
Paul will always be remembered for his integrity, spirit, knowledge, and classic old time one liners.
Friends and family are invited to say goodbye to Paul at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church on 30 October 2025, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with Pastor John Moll and Pastor Joel McKenney officiating. The Burial service to follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. In place of flowers, the family invites you to support Kewaunee County Food Pantry, reflecting Paul's passion for caring for the community.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Paul's many neighbors, friends, and community members whose kindness, support, and friendship were a great comfort to him and our family throughout the years.
Paul's family extends their sincere appreciation to Schinderle Funeral Home & Cremation Services for the care over Paul and in helping navigate these difficult times.
