Paul Ratliff Obituary
Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a dedicated and hard-working man throughout his life. He spent 35 years as a welder with Aeronca before retiring, and even after retirement, he remained active and always willing to lend a helping hand.
Affectionately known as the "Lawn Mower Man," Paul was the go-to person in the community for fixing lawn mowers, always ready to help neighbors and friends. In the winter, he took it upon himself to assist widows and others in need by removing snow from their driveways, an act that perfectly reflected his generous heart.
Paul was a proud veteran and an even prouder family man. He was a devoted husband, loving dad, and cherished "Papaw." His strength and resilience were evident in his brave battle with both melanoma and squamous cell carcinoma, which he fought with courage and determination.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Bonnie Ratliff; daughters, Deborah Lynn Cheuvront, Linda Sue Larkin, and Sandra Lee (Steve) Alexander; grandchildren, Crystal (Travis) Cotton, Brian Alexander, Katie (Adam) Lewis, Amber (Travis) Cron, Lindsay (Zachery) Martin, Melissa Larkin, Nikki (Tyler) Smith, Sunni Richards, and Lindaann Cheuvront; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Olgie Ratliff and Delorise Stahl; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved son, Paul David Ratliff; brothers, Bill, Robert, and Jimmy Ray Ratliff; and sisters, Juanita Cochran and Jewel Ratliff.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave., Middletown, OH 45005. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home, with interment to take place at Butler County Memorial Park.
